If you’re a fan of banana, for sure you will love this banana chocolate chip muffins recipe. There’s nothing fancy in it. There are just a few ingredients and easy to make and can even keep the batter in the fridge for later use until one month. I am not a big fan of muffin but this recipe made me love it. It is not too sweet and it is moist and fudgy and it just tastes amazing. Plus the chocolate chips in it. It is so irresistible.
HOW TO MAKE THIS IRRESISTIBLE BANANA CHOCOLATE CHIP MUFFINS
Making this recipe is so easy and you can make this even in the middle of the week.
You just need to combine the dry ingredients together and the wet ingredients together and then whisk them together.
FLOUR – all-purpose flour is just perfect for this recipe unless you are on a strict diet. You can also use whole wheat and gluten-free flour.
BROWN SUGAR – why brown sugar? Brown sugar adds moist so I prefer using it but if it’s not available, white sugar is also an alternative.
BAKING SODA AND BAKING POWDER – these give your muffin a good rise.
SALT – this boosts the flavour.
BANANAS – why it is included in wet ingredients. It is because we will mash it. Extra ripe bananas are needed here to make the best banana muffin. Bananas which you think are already ready to go garbage because they have already black spots on the peel. Use a fork to mash it.
BUTTER – again why it is in wet ingredients. It is because we need to melt it. Dont’forget to cool it down slightly before mixing it. You can melt it before mixing other ingredients to give time to cool down. It can be substituted with oil if not available but it is not just rich if you are using butter.
EGG – contributes to the structure of the muffins.
VANILLA – I thought before it just adds a good smell but I found out that it also adds richness and sweetness to the recipe.
HOW MUCH TIME IN THE OVEN?
Baking usually takes about 20-25 minutes in a preheated oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. You can also check with the golden colour on top or when you try to insert a toothpick and comes out clean. This is using the regular muffin cups tray If you’re using the smaller cups, the baking time is adjusted to about 10-15 minutes.
